Overview

The Iron Page is built on one principle: what you write is yours. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what remains entirely on your device.

Two Modes. Two Data Profiles.

The Iron Page operates in two modes with different data behaviors.

Local Mode (default)

No account required. No data leaves your device. Journal entries, medals, streaks, and settings are stored exclusively in your phone's local storage. Nothing is transmitted, collected, or shared.

Smith Mode (optional)

Smith mode requires creating an account with your email address and first name. When you sign in, the following data is stored on secure servers:

• Your email address and first name
• Your journal entries (synced to enable cross-device access)
• Your Smith number and Circle membership status
• Presence data — a daily timestamp indicating you opened the app (date only, no location or content)
• Circle of Smiths activity — anonymous Anvil sentences and Iron Sharpens Iron prompt submissions you create

You can remain in Local mode indefinitely. Smith mode is a choice, not a requirement.
